Eddy Kenzo Celebrates 10 Years Of Music

Announced at a joint press conference with Big Talent Entertainment, Eddy Kenzo’s music group, the anniversary comes at a time where Eddy Kenzo is undeniably one of Uganda’s top artists, and continues to promote Uganda and East Africa at an International level. It was a decade ago that Eddy Kenzo became evident after his breakthrough song “Yanimba” in 2008 featuring Mikie Wine and “Stamina”. 6 years later (2014), Kenzo became an Airtel Uganda ambassador and over this period, Kenzo has gone on achieve many milestones, including winning a BET award. “As I celebrate 10 years of my musical career, my path has been filled with success but it has come with its bumps. Thank you, Airtel for believing in me and standing by me all these years. Together with you, other sponsors and all my fans, we have survived the storm and for this am forever indebted. Eddy Kenzo has become a staple in Uganda’s songbook with popular songs like Stamina, Sitya Loss, Jubilation, MbiloMbilo, Nice & Lovely, and Pull Up among others. On his rise to Stardom, Kenzo has broken both local and global records in most musical spheres including but not limited to; Being the first East African to win the BET award and Nickelodeon Kids choice award, Releasing the first Ugandan global song “Sitya Loss” that garnered millions of views all around the world and has been shared by prominent celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres, Puff Daddy, Akon, Ronaldinho, Tevin Campbell, Sanaa Lathan and so many more. His unique style has made him the first Ugandan to fill stadiums in West Africa As part of the anniversary celebrations, Eddy Kenzo recently released a 20 track album “Roots” honoring his musical journey. The concert will be preceded by a diverse array of media, products, and events.
